Awakening to Spring’

Program of the Borgo Wellness Retreat (March 14-16)

Note: Individual sessions with Nadia can be booked outside the retreat program, during Saturday or Sunday afternoons. These sessions are optional and provided as an additional service.

  • Borgo Antichi Orti - Awakening to Spring’ 3
    Friday, March 14

    • 4:00 PM–7:00 PM: Arrival, welcome, and check-in to rooms.
    Individual introductory meetings with Nadia (15 minutes per person).
    • 7:30 PM: Communal dinner.
    • 9:00 PM: Opening circle:
    Introduction to the retreat and meditation centered on the theme of spring awakening and regeneration. Yoga Nidra practice (deep, mindful relaxation). Intentions for the retreat and welcome kit distribution.

    Saturday, March 15
    morning

    • 7:45 AM–8:30 AM: Morning awakening in the olive grove (yoga and Qi Gong). Gentle yoga or stretching among the olive trees, focusing on breathing and harmonizing with the season. If it rains, activities will take place indoors.
    • 9:00 AM: Breakfast.
    • 10:00 AM–12:00 PM: Mindful walk among the gardens and exploration of herbs.
    Harvest of wild herbs and aromatic plants and discovery of their seasonal properties.
    A guided walk through ancient vegetable gardens, olive groves, and herbal gardens. Discover local spring herbs, their traditional uses, and how they connect to the rhythm of the season. This mindful exploration encourages participants to tune in with the natural environment and deepen their connection to the earth. (Rain or shine, with umbrellas if necessary).
    • 12:30 PM: Lunch & free time.

    Saturday, March 15
    afternoon

    4:30 PM–6:30 PM: Practical workshop: Personalized natural remedies for supporting the body’s transition to spring.
    In this hands-on workshop, participants will create remedies tailored to the winter-tospring transition, drawing from the rich traditions of Mediterranean herbal wisdom and Ayurveda. The workshop will include scientific insights to deepen the understanding of these practices. Topics will vary:
    • Herbal Tea Blending: Learn to craft a healing tea for seasonal ailments, reducing allergies, and boosting immunity.
    • Ointment or Body Butter Making: Create a nourishing, aromatic balm or body butter. Learn to blend oils, beeswax, and essential herbs to craft a soothing balm perfect for dry skin or muscle tension.
    Each participant will take home their personalized creations to support springtime well-being.

    Saturday, March 15
    evening

    • 7:30 PM: Dinner.
    • 9:00 PM: Evening Yoga Nidra and sound healing.
    This evening session will guide participants into deep relaxation through Yoga Nidra, a yogic practice for complete relaxation and regeneration. Accompanied by sound healing, participants will experience the calming vibrations of sound, soothing the nervous system, recharging energy, and rejuvenating the body and mind. This powerful combination promotes inner healing and a balanced state for the body-mind system.

    Sunday, March 16

    • 7:45 AM–8:30 AM: Morning body awakening and breathwork among the olive trees (or indoors if raining).
    A gentle body awakening session to start the day peacefully and energetically, incorporating breath and movement to attune to the natural seasonal flow.
    • 9:00 AM: Breakfast.
    • 9:45 AM–11:45 AM: Workshop on the healing power of flowers and the preparation of seasonal floral remedies.
    This session will explore the medicinal, therapeutic, and spiritual properties of early spring flowers. Participants will learn how these plants support physical health and well-being during the transition from cold to warm months, guiding transformation and renewal in harmony with the energy of spring.
    • 12:00 PM: Closing ceremony and retreat reflections.
    • 1:00 PM: Final lunch.
